Maya's is absolutely fantastic. I have had the pleasure of trying their food at multiple markets and I have never been let down. They have a talent for combining flavors seamlessly, as evidenced by their delicious creole cakes that have just the right amount of spice. If you're in the mood for incredible soul food, definitely give Maya's a try. View all feedback.
I took my youngest sin and his friend on his 23rd birthday. e2fay was amazing and the waitress ronnie was brilliant
I stopped at the market of Downtown PHX Farmers to taste their food. They were very good. A beautiful crispy coating and delicious inside. Made with palm hearts. The accompanying Remoulade sauce was excellent with a lil spicy kick. It was great. SMOKIN JACKFRUIT PO'BOY $15 A large sandwich that could be divided between two people (especially if you want to taste or taste other dishes). The BBQ sauce was delicious and I loved the crispy onion strands (I would get them in everything if I could). The Jackfruit itself was good. I was better, I had worse. SHRIMP N GRITS $11 big portion. Very tasty and she's not insulated with the shrimps. PEACH COBBLER $12 This is the only article that I just unlikely. It was not good (measured by southern standards), and it was not worth 12 US dollars. If you are from the south and are looking for an amazing and authentic peach basket in PHX, go to Nana's Soulfood Kitchen in Chandler. Overall, I would try other articles again.
Maya is amazing. I had the opportunity to try them on some different markets and I was never disappointed. They mix flavors perfectly and a great example of it is their creole cakes, the perfect amount of spices! Definitely check them if you want an amazing soul food.
Nice to find vegan Cajun food in the valley. This place is not disappointed. I had the rubber bear and the creole cakes were both great! The staff is also very friendly.
I went there during lunch on a weekday. The atmosphere is great. It almost feels like you’re in an old restaurant in Louisiana. The beer selection has lots of local Louisiana beers but not a ton of variety in types of beers. It’s heavy on the IPAs. I got a Shrimp Po Boy. It was a little dry but still good. It came with a ton of fries. I’ll definitely go back. Probably would try some other entrees. Hopefully on a weekend or evening when there’s music.
