Applebee's Grill - Mesa

Will not be going back. We hadn 't been in many years but kept seeing things for their Bacardi bucket drinks, so we decided to give them another try. Got seated and asked our waitress about the buckets, there are 3 different ones and we wanted to know what was mixed into them. She didn 't know and said she would ask the bartender. The waitress came back and said they are bicardi with some flavors in it . That 's it, no more explanation. I 'm sorry, what?? Bacardi with some flavors- thanks so much for your amazing description. We ended up ordering 2 so we could try these elusive flavors . They were not worth the $10 as they were mostly ice and very little flavors . We also ordered the sirloin steaks and they were poorly cooked and also had no flavors . Very sad- this used to be a great place to get a good, fun, cheap bite to eat. Not anymore

My recent visit to this restaurant was disappointing. The steak I ordered was not cooked properly and sat in a pool of juices that should have been drained. It also had an unusual aftertaste. The garlic mashed potatoes were dry and powdery, and the shrimp had too much batter, causing them to be dry on the outside and mushy on the inside.

This Applebee's is a great choice for late-night dining. The location is nice and the service is good. The food was freshly made and delicious. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken Shrimp and the chicken was juicy with lots of flavor. The shrimp was also juicy and the French fries were hot. I will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you.

I would not give this restaurant even one star. It was absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had. When we arrived, we were not greeted. The hostess eventually came over, and when we asked for a high chair, she responded rudely with "Do you even need one?" She then tried to squeeze all 7 of us into a booth. When we requested a table instead, she visibly got upset and complained that a server would be cut if she gave us a table. She eventually walked away and returned with a table for us. When we tried to order, they were out of multiple items, and the waiter seemed annoyed when we asked for alternatives. Everyone received their food except for one guest, and by the time his plate arrived, everyone else had finished eating. When we asked for drink refills, they only refilled one drink and we had to ask again for more. As we were getting ready to leave, one guest asked for a to-go drink and the waiter rolled his eyes, huffed, and served other tables before getting it. We will not be going back to this restaurant. It is not family-friendly.

The chicken wings were incredibly crispy, like a potato chip. Unfortunately, our waitress never checked on us and we had to actively seek her out. Despite requesting straws multiple times, we never received them, and our daughter didn't get her drink until the end of the meal. When we finally had a chance to speak to our waitress, we were informed that the kitchen was closed. Disappointed and hungry, we left without eating. The manager, a black woman, did not apologize and seemed indifferent to our experience. This lack of professionalism and care is why I prefer dining at higher-end establishments. The bartender, on the other hand, was friendly and provided good service. Overall, the lack of attention to detail and customer service left much to be desired at this restaurant. [10:30pm 10/25/2022]
