We celebrated our wedding in the green tree in October. Hannah and the team made sure we had a wonderful celebration. Thanks to good weather we were able to use the great outdoor area. What happened??? In April we absolutely loved the food. Incredibly beautifully arranged with flowers etc, great and cozy atmosphere, very good value for money, professional service... The green tree became our favorite restaurant! Unfortunately, today was definitely our last time in this location! Starting with the fact that there was only a professionally printed menu, no drinks menu, no dessert menu, the food was carelessly prepared and the portions were manageable, but the prices were significantly raised, the service was nice but very inexperienced, the boss was quite casual and in his style for his prices unprofessional. And all because of a system change and with the explanation “everything will come now, little by little”??
We enjoyed the starter and main courses. We really appreciate the fact that a lot of things are prepared in-house. The only thing we missed with the Wiener Schnitzel was the cranberry sauce ; . The menu is manageable, but still offers something for everyone and suits our taste. The homemade lemonades were good too, not too sweet. We would find it exciting to read on the menu where the basics like meat, eggs, etc. come from. The service was also super nice, pleasant and accommodating. Even if two little things were forgotten. But that can happen and not something tragic. Unfortunately, we didn't find the desserts that good. But they are almost the most important thing for us It's just a personal impression that doesn't have to be right, but the apple pie dough tasted like baking mix to us. Unfortunately, the accompanying vanilla ice cream tasted like convenience. Cardboard sweet with lots of vanilla aroma (personal impression . The homemade sorbets only tasted like water and flavors to us and were unfortunately full of large ice crystals instead of pureed fruit. In addition, the stairs to the toilets were pretty dirty. Unfortunately, this also applied to the toilets. Although we were there shortly after it opened. Real soap would also have been more suitable for the fabric towels. Maybe we just had a stupid day. But something like that should be fine. We'll still be back because we liked the other dishes on the menu and would like to try them. Only then, unfortunately, without dessert, if it's still the same. We are excited. Overall, the overall impression was good with a little room for improvement in our opinion. Overall we found it to be reasonably priced. Only the apple pie with vanilla ice cream for over €9 and the non-alcoholic cocktail were a bit excessive in our opinion. In cafes with homemade cakes, something without ice cream costs between €3.50 and €5, even in Freiburg ; . More than €5 is more common for patisserie pieces or pieces of cake.
So if you want to take advantage of the advantages and the extra profit of Google Maps for your company then you should be at least as fair and also write the opening hours. The hotel just went to the restaurant... I ran for free for 30 minutes thanks to her great internet heroes... but apparently I'm not so important. Rooms: 1

We felt completely taken care of, whether it was about staying overnight in the hotel or any special requests. We would definitely choose the green tree as a location again! Rooms: Cozy rooms, clean, some with a historical background. Food drinks: Delicious dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options, were also possible.
The service person named Heidi in the breakfast room was the friendliest, most accommodating, helpful person during my entire 4 day stay at the hotel. H. Orlowski Service: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet
