Equally it is not confined to the bigger cities as I discovered when passing through this neat little village to which day trippers from nearby Bilbao head for. It is by a pretty river so is an alternative to local beach resorts. About half way down the main drag is this authentic family run establishment. Offering meat and fish alternatives this is delightful place to enjoy a proper, reasonably priced, freshly prepared meal. I can strongly recommend a gorgeous salmon dish based on a recipe I was told had been passed down to the present proprietor by her mother. The prawns are another highlight.
