This charming cafe on Merritt Island is a hidden gem! They serve breakfast (with a well-varied menu) and lunch (which is absolutely delicious). The menu offers something for everyone, with daily specials and homemade dishes. The blackened grouper sandwich was particularly tasty and authentically spiced, unlike other places outside the Keys. There are so many tempting options on the menu that we can't wait to return t... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Flying Fish Cafe:
The dirty chairs at this restaurant are absolutely disgusting. The eggs benedict come with large pieces of old ham and a terrible, white, lemon-based hollandaise sauce. The staff consists of just the man and woman owners who seem to be trying to do everything themselves, but unfortunately they are not succeeding. Overall, the experience was sad, strange, and pathetic. I would not recommend this place. View all feedback.
Nizza can be found in merritt island in the Michael's/Aldies shopping center from 520. they are 12-2 open except Tuesdays. they offer another take on typical diner food, but they can still get that. I really enjoyed her soft bowl crab benedict. beautiful and different white Hollandaise sauce. my son had her homemade bread French toast. it was more like cake in texture and taste, so no need for syrup. my wife had a bly on marble. the main complaint was not enough speck, but otherwise tasty. they also offer grouper snadwiches and eier benedict with grouper. a very nice place that can take a moment until they do not move to the shopping center. will be back for more.
Islanders: Come visit Flying Fish cafe. They serve up the best Eggs over easy with Tobiko and Hollandaise. Absolutely simple and delicious. The tobiko creates a delicious, bright pop of salinity that will make you happy to wake up in Florida! Her French toast is made with homemade bread and drenched in custard. No syrup needed! And the home fries are spectacular! AND it’s super cute and coastal of course!
Wow, so happy to have come across this little jewel. In the same plaza as Aldis, breakfast was great. Easily the best home fries I've EVER had. homemade scrapple is delicious and I don't even like scrapple ?. I hear their sandwiches are made from freshly carved meats!! Will definitely be going back to try that. Great menu and the prices are certainly something you don't see anymore. So glad we found you!!
This place is horrible there’s an older lady and she has a nasty attitude. She rolls her eyes every time we tell her this food is disgusting because there’s no flavor in anything and it’s just horrible. Also it took us 2 hours just to get pancakes and an omelette I absolutely don’t recommend. Then when we walked in we went to a table and we said we will just pull a chair and then she said no it will be too complicating and lead us to a dirty table.
Pictures don’t even do justice. Absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had in our area. Hands down! No grease and taste so good!
