Rare Hare provided excellent service, food, and wine. The only minor issue was the staff uniforms (gray overalls) which we felt were not very appealing. This was the only downside that we all mentioned. View all feedback.
We recently dined at Rate Hare And it’s a stand out The menu was really good. Food delicious, interesting and well priced. Rare Hare is a real winner
Food was absolutely standout, some very memorable dishes like honey baked brie and spicy barramundi wings amazing! Plus the view was fantastic, and the staff very helpful, top marks :
We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and immediately shown on our table. A little disappointed it was a common table on Valentine's Day. The waiting staff was friendly, helpful and full of information. Eating was stock plates as salumi, appetizers, clamps, net and candy. We have chosen for recommendations, but the Salumi, Starter and Notebook dishes were excellent. The cured Kingfish, Eisberg and Stracciatella dishes were outstanding and highly recommended. We were little disappointed by two other seafood we selected. The barramundi wings were tasty, but awkward and with little fish meat. The salmon steaks were beautifully presented (as with all dishes), but without taste. We would definitely come back when we live nearby and we now know what to expect, but a little more taste in the fish dishes would be nice.
Nice place to visitors, food was well presented and great surroundings.
The restaurant was buzzing with atmosphere, friendly staff and noise! When I booked, I requested a table near a window for the 4 of us baby-boomers. We were seated near the bar/ kitchen area which was extremely noisy and nowhere near a window seat. However, at my request we were moved, after a table near a window was vacated. It was quieter there were less diners as it was around 3pm. Then the music, with noticeable base, was turned up. It was rediculous. We still couldn't hear each other speak. I again made a request to lower the music, which the staff did graciously. The food, wine, service and ambience were excellent as we'd previously experienced. As a diner, I can't understand why loud music needs to be played in a restaurant? In fact, I don't think any music is necessary in a dining situation. It may be relevants in a pub or a Dinner Show venue.
