The food, including bao, bar snacks, and share plates, is fantastic, with standouts being the salt and pepper tofu and spicy Korean chicken wings. The service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Customers praise the delicious scallops, lamb buns, and green bean salad, with some even declaring it their favorite restaurant on the Gold Coast. While some reviewers have noted occasional lapses in quality and service, overall Lucky Bao seems to be a hidden gem worth visiting for a unique and satisfying dining experience.
Absolutely blown away by this little place. We did the tasting menu and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't do enough for us, they made my husband a custom cocktail, and made me the best mocktail I've had all year. Absolutely phenomenal vibes, a wonderful team and scrumptious fresh food.
I love the atmosphere of this restaurant! Specially the staffs are very friendly and kind. I just hope they make fish&chips in normal adult’s size as well- I tasted my son’s fish&chips (kids menu and I loved it! I will definitely visit this place again :
Really enjoyed the food, had the chicken bao and the tempura cauliflower. Seating is quite uncomfortable though my butt was sore by the end of the night Service was good and friendly but slow. Didn’t have soft drinks
Lucky Bao have amazing food. We tried Salmon Tartare, Lamb Bao, Soft Shell Crabs Bao, Katsu Bao and Crunch Fries. They all delicious. Great service and staffs. Absolutely love this place.
Very good baos- we ordered 4 types- the lamb, pork, soft shell crab, eggplant. Enjoyed each one of them... they all had a unique taste. The sauces were not over powering... very well balanced flavours. About$11 per bao... which is quite expensive given the size- we were hoping they would be a little bigger than normal. Biggest issue is that we waited 25-30 minutes for the 4 baos- in fairness it was probably the busiest period of the service for them, but the restaurant was not packed... perhaps 70% full. Not sure whether we would go back due to the cost, size and wait times.
