This is a really nice modern design restaurant less than ten minutes from the airport with a part covered terrace at the rear which is really pleasant in summer... read more This is a really nice modern design restaurant less than ten minutes from the airport with a part covered terrace at the rear which is really pleasant in summer. Parking is available off road with 6 to 8 spaces. There are bags of smiles from the staff on arrival and we had good service throughout.Our party was four adults and two children and we had lunch one sunny August day before dropping a family member off at the airport. It is quite an oasis as Merignac can be very busy, but here despite fronting onto the main tram and road line, the terrace at the rear makes a pleasant dining experience.The children’s menu (€10) was steak haché or chicken and very good it was too with barbecued cubes of breast of chicken and lean meat for the haché. One of us had the menu du jour at just €15 which was prawns in an avocado mash followed by hake with a green / yellow pepper sauce reduction and potato, then rhum baba for dessert. We also had T bone veal and Tuna, both of which were generous in portion size. The meat was beautifully flavoured by the barbecue cooking and tender as well.This restaurant is a great place to eat good quality food and is certainly streets ahead of what you can get at the airport. We paid just over €120 not including drinks and for six people I regard that as good value especially when you take into account the quality and setting. We would thoroughly recommend it and plan to return soon.
