What Claire Couturier doesn't like about A L Abri Des Pins:
disappointing - minimalist liver share with the weighted card 13,00 euros ... vegetables with meat coming out just from the freezer ... desserts to review : very insufficient in quantity and especially in quality. we will not return there in good week! probably but not to recommend on Sunday or holiday the room is also in the image of the kitchen: minimalist summaries: shamefully expensive View all feedback.
Lovely cool restaurant, fantastic and friendly service, we were not rushed at all, great food that was all cooked perfectly with wonderful sauces.
A restaurant where the welcome is pleasant! Good kitchen without more. to redo outside a family meal where we had no choice of menu!
I took a menu from day to day at 14,50, one day a week. impeccable service, tasty dishes and wide choice of cheeses. Also to highlight a beautiful presentation of food in the plate and various vegetables that accompany the dishes. A nice address to advise.
A stop at noon by chance on our way to La Rochelle. A very nice surprise because despite our late arrival (14h30) the welcome was family and friendly and the meal with superb homemade dishes (menu with a little choice but it is better to have a plethoric card and industrial dishes). I strongly recommend you take 10 minutes to get out of the national and go to discover this nice and delicious restaurant.
This is a comfortable, third-generation, family run restaurant. The food makes the most of a large range of local produce (cheeses, fruit, vegetables, seafood and meat). We mostly choose the Menu de Jour, €14.50. Thus we profit from the expertise of the Chef, who puts together, on that day, 5 different courses which compliment one another to perfection ! However, there is also an excellent Carte with a wide range of dishes to choose from if you are feeling less adventurous. This is a restaurant where you must be prepared to relax and enjoy. If you want "fast food" please go elsewhere. Friends cannot understand why we would drive 2 hours just to eat lunch...that is, until they come with us ! If your French is dodgy, Madame Merle will do her best to understand you and explain the menus ( she does speak a little English). It would be best to make a reservation, though we do also drop in on the off chance if we are in the area (can't let an opportunity pass us by).
