El Gallo Giro Mexican Street Food And Tequila

Seriously, don't bother. I don't understand what went wrong. the location is cool (very tiny, but the decor is really cute and the bar is well done). the food is next level bad. like the photos speak for themselves. I got chicken tacos, rice, and beans. like, how can you be a mexican food restaurant and mess it up? even taco bell can do better. the rice was so dry and gross. rice is my favorite thing ever and I didn't eat it. the beans are just pinto beans out of a can, they had no flavor at all and the cheese was horrible. the taco itself I mean come on. it tasted like it was out of a crock pot and the onions were just all over like I enjoy onions on my taco but this was insane. we came on a saturday evening too. this is their saturday night food. busiest time for dinner out all week. I hope they figure it out soon, because this won't last like this, that's for sure!

Definitely not the El Gallo Giro I remember from Garden City. We went when it first opened and food was just ok. I gave it another try a year later and had the same experience and lack of workers. Last night we went for my wife's birthday as we figured after being opened a few years would it get better but was SO wrong. Nobody was running the bar. The Waitress was nice and I believe was the owner but it was just her and what appeared to be a teenage boy running the place. My wife loves tableside guacamole but this was the worst I had ever had. Even the kiddo making it was asking us to try it as he was making it in a plastic bowl as it was like he had never eaten guacamole before. Street tacos were bland and the meat all tasted like it was reheated from 3 days ago. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 was the atmosphere looks amazing but unfortunately 3 times is enough and my family will never return to this place.

Worst Mexican food I've ever had Stuffed jalapeños were loaded w jalapeños seeds. uneatable . Salsa had no kick Red enchilada sauce is like ketchup No seafood in the seafood salad Sent two dishes back Will not be going back Prices were okay service was okay but food was awful Yuck

We have tried this Mexican restaurant twice now and each time the food was absolutely delish. Street tacos are now my go to! My husband and kids loved the chimichangas and the ceviche is out of this world! Plus the staff are attentive and super nice. Definitely a regular place for us
