Water Grill Denver you did not disappoint! Came here for lunch with a couple friends (all of which including myself work in the industry) and we were so impressed with their menu. It?s my birthday today and we celebrated with my friend who had a birthday last week. We were super excited for Water Grill. The atmosphere and overall decor was wonderful, love the space! I?m not sure if it?s because it?s so new but it just fell a little flat for us. The oysters, octopus and calamari were great. The shrimp wasn?t cleaned so it wasn?t too tasty but they were very considerate in removing those from the bill. We tried to order the whole fish, Dover Sole andthe Sea Bass, but they ran out of both of them so we got the Pink Bream. The escabeche flavor was just not for us unfortunately. Also, we?ve had whole fish before and this one we couldn?t really eat much skin because there were scales. Thelobster roll was a bit dry. The fries were yummy. Our other friend had the shrimp scampi, I didn?t try a bite but she liked it. We weren?t told about any birthday dessert which they thought someone told us, but they took care of the keylime pie which was delicious. The service may have been short staffed because it was very slow, long 3 hour dinner. Hoping it was just an off night.
We had such an amazing experience tonight at Water grill. From the initial greet all the way to the dessert course, our waiter Alan and the food was simply?wow! You must put this place on your list when visiting Denver. I don?t even like seafood normally, but I devoured OCTOPUS and oysters and enjoyed them. Great job to staff for making this such a lovely experience!! and make sure you ask for Alan.
This seems to be quite a popular restaurant in the Denver fine dining scene. It was highly recommended by a couple of locals. It did not disappoint. The charred octopus appetizer was delicious. We ordered 3.5 lbs of king crab legs for the table, and it's hard to screw up delicious Alaskan king crab. The kitchen accidentally sent one of the sides root vegetables) way before the entrees were served. Despite a couple of requests the bread never showed up. The streetcorn was exceptionally delicious. The bread pudding and the key lime pies were both decadent.
Really loved dining here. I said in the reservation it was our anniversary and our table was decorated with rose petals and a sweet note! They also gave us a complimentary dessert too. It was a nice touch. We got there early and was able to get drinks at the bar before. We also got free bread to eat as well. Our server was also amazing (can 't remember her name). Quite enjoyed our experience and food as well. Good place to go if you like seafood!

The layout of this restaurant is absolutely stunning. Matt P was our server and his menu suggestions were on point, all the way from the appetizers to dessert. We ordered a handful of items and he coursed them out appropriately ensuring we weren't too overwhelmed at once. The highlights: king salmonsushi roll, Chilean sea bass and bread pudding. Already making plans to come back for dinner with an even bigger group! Thank you!
