This is not your usual museum cafe. Huge, long salad bar with more than items than you would expect. They also do sandwiches and pizza. Best thing was their dining area was huge. Lot's of tables and chairs. Everything was very clean. View all feedback.
What Alicia Philoethné doesn't like about T-rex Cafe:
Not tasty food and overpriced. It’s similar to elementary school cafeteria. Husband got two slices of flavorless pepperoni pizza for $7 and I got the kids chicken taco plate with fries and a Capri Sun juice $11. The chicken had no flavor at all. I’ll be packing snacks or lunch next time I go to museum. View all feedback.
Positives are a variety of items from pasta, burgers, hot dogs and salad. The fountain drinks are also free refills for the day so if you like to drink it’s best if you grab one at the start of the day and refill throughout the day. Negative would be the salad is by the pound at the price of 7.99 per pound. There were only three types of dressing (scallion, balsamic and ranch). Unfortunately, none of these were ones I liked and I didn’t realize until I had my plate filled. Thus, I had to deal with it and purchase anyhow. The lines were slow for a burger etc. even mid afternoon so my grandson ended up getting a hot dog instead. The bun was in a warmer and stale. Food was ok, prices were average. The three of us had salad (2), cookies (2), hot dog, two drinks, gnocchi and a small soup and it was $35.
Great place to get lunch, large variety of choices. Members get a discount. Very clean and anything you need.
They have a decent variety here … a café or a grab and go. I did the grab and go with a club sandwich, chips and a drink. Plenty of other choices though … salads, pizza, pretzels, waters, sodas, lemonades, etc. Pricing average as well.
If you are get hungry while at the museum. This is a convenient place to eat the food is ok, the prices a bit high for what you get. Lots of kid food.
We ate here out of necessity during our visit. Normally we would've brought our lunch. The prices were not too high and the food was pretty good.
