Machete Tequila Tacos

Sitting outside across from union station. Rain tapping on the umbrella. Perfect drinks-mojito and Paloma. Tacos are all phenomenal! We had 4 different. Don’t be afraid of the veggie ones. Hibiscus tortillas is fun!

Uninspired, tepid, white people food. There are better places to eat in Denver this is not it. I ordered three tacos off the top left of their menu. They were edible in principle. Pastor was dry and pineapple unripe. Lengua was… actually I’m not sure it was lengua because it resembled spam. Service was alright and atmosphere held up. But seriously if you want to eat, I would skip this one.

Been eating here for years and love it. Great tacos! Salmon taco is my fave. I just went and noticed the menu said $15 for a house margarita…which I think is pretty pricey.

Machete’s has been around for a long time but does not seem to keep up with the quality and flavor of their early days. We popped in while in the area and found it to be a mid level experience. We had chips and salsa, the Al pastor and Campechano tacos and a chicken quesadilla. It all looks so pretty but the flavors did not come together. The margarita was also lacking….watered down and too sweet.
