What Blagoje Radeljić dislikes about Deck:
My boyfriend loves this place and has been here many times, but this particular visit left a bit to be desired. The price was quite high compared to other restaurants we went to, and the food was not so great. The tuna ceviche was actually "grilled tuna" and the carpaccio de res was very oily. The drinks were decent and fairly cheap, and the hookah was good. The ambiance is great and romantic. After eating and smokin... View all feedback.

The steak was phenomenal! The recipe used expresso in the mix! Cooked as ordered/requested and the bottle of vino tinto table side complemented the arrangement.
The service is beyond your expectations, the food is delicious weather you are eating at Cubero or on the Deck with an amazing view at night!! The mango margaritas are a must and I suggest you start on the Deck and then move to the restaurant below or if you only want appetizers then I suggest the filet kabobs that melt in your mouth.I adored the woman in charge of public relations she is on top of her game and she was so friendly and wonderful!!!! I will return because they took great care of me.They make it happen and I love it. I will be back!!!!
We spent a week in Merida, and by far the best mojitos we got were in Slavia. Also the deer steak was perfectly prepared. Service was friendly and prompt, and the milieu is very original. It's a bit pricey, but worth the money in my opinion.
My husband and I have been to Cubaro before (3 restaurant/bars are together, Slavia, Tobago and Cubaro, all with slightly different menus) and I knew before we even got there what I wanted to eat for our anniversary celebration. :-) Both my husband and I had the "cochinita spring rolls" - divine food, whoever thought up that combination was a genius! I followed that with the fried cheese with onion marmalade, my husband had the arrachera, and both were brilliant! The wine was very pricey, but the food was great. You sit on the pavement opposite the Monument to Independence on Paseo Montejo, and it would be quite stunning if the traffic hadn't got heavier in the past year and the driving more aggressive. The music in the restaurant is quite nice, slightly jazzy, bluesy, though maybe a tad loud (to drown out the buses?). Would I go there again - YES. We always order the same food as it is so good (tried and tested a number of times), and there is valet parking so you don't have to worry about getting a fine. The only thing that annoyed me, but this happens in most Mexican restaurants, is that the moment you finish they take your plate away even if the other person is still eating. Otherwise the waiters were attentive, the wine poured through a wine aerator/breather, and the valet had a smile. :-)
After driving around and getting very hungry we saw valet parking and blindly pulled in. We did not know what to expect with the multi European decor. My son had the deer steak on special and started with a gorgeous ceasar salad. My wife and I had the beef with shrimp and a pepper sauce. She started with a traditional onion soup and I had the clam chowder. Everything was just wonderful and filling. The Merlot onthe table when we sat down was tasty. Aall in all a great meal. If there is a negative, for Merida standards, it was a bit pricey at about $60 a head with no dessert.
