George's Diner is NE Comfort food at its best! You get huge portions for your money and great service. Most places in the area have raised their prices astronomically, but George's is reasonable and much beloved and appreciated by all. The only complaintis the lack of their delicious Indian pudding! However, the Tapioca was the best I've ever had! With the leftovers, I will get 3meals from this NE Boiled Dinner special!
I was blown away by this modest diner! Looks small from the street view. However, what they lack in size, they make up for in every way that matters. They have an incredibly welcoming staff, a casual at-home feel, reasonable pricing....and most importantgenerous and delicious food! The clam strips, sweet potato fries and pickled beets were incredible. We loved our server andwould love to visit here again when in the area!
The biggest wonderful thing about this place is definitely the stuff l, they are friendly, organized, and really good taking orders. The food is good. Pretty close to the lake.
I had a delightful breakfast at George?s this morning. Corned beef hash is easy enough to make. And it was well made. It always comes down to the eggs though, right? And, George has an excellent egg chef. Really not an easy person to find! The poached eggswere brilliant. Nice firm whites and creamy warm yokes. The hash browns were a wee bit undercooked. That was my fault. I likethem crispy; and I simply forgot to request that detail. They had Tabasco, which I need for my eggs. Not Frank?s or some otherpoor substitute. Real Tabasco. The small ramekin of beans was a nice treat. They were piping hot and delicious! I laughed whenI noticed that all three utensils were mismatched. Perfect for a greasy spoon cafe. Look closely, and you?ll see that it was!
Had a great time. My wife and I visited after seeing a concert the night before at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. I'm a diner fan and this one had good reviews. We went and we greeted warmly and set up in a both. Our waitresses, Sue B, made somenice small talk and got me some nice hot coffee (temp was above average which I appreciated). We placed our orders and they wereout super fast as a good diner should. I tried the bacon jam omelette which was good and one of the blueberry corn muffinsgrilled which was great. Sue kept the coffee and talk coming. It's the kind of place I'd like to be a regular at if I was fromthe area. Check it out if you can.
