Contribute Feedback What Katie T doesn't like about Tailgate Grill:
One of the worst hotels I 've stayed at. Once I pulled up for the first time, there was only 2 cars in the parking lot. I thought they were closed on a Thursday at 2pm. I walked in and it was nearly a ghost town. I checked in at the front and I got the key to my room. The shower, the bathroom, and the walls were disgusting. The room itself needed some major upgrading. Everything looked worn down it was old. The towels... View all feedback.
First of all, I sat in the car wondering if I should go inside. The parking lot and gardens are full of knee high weeds. Inside I was greeted with with dated, shabby decor, stained couches, and a leaking moldy hallway that was poorly covered up by a hanging curtain and a table. The room was okay, but upon close inspection the corners are grimy and outlets are smudgy. Do not stay here. It’s not worth the $150 a night they charge. I’m with a previous reviewer… Marriott should be ashamed.
I’ve stayed over 300 nights with Marriott. This is the worst condition property I’ve seen. The place is a dump, it’s dirty, things are broken throughout the room, the linens were soiled, it’s loud, the AC is obnoxious, the beds are small, and the restaurant is closed. I don’t know how this place is associated with Marriott.
This is the worst Marriott property I've stayed at. It's dirty, smells bad, and no one working here gives a rat's a about itDon't stay here ever. You'll regret it. Your children will no longer respect you. Your children's children will hate you for itThis place needs to be bulldozed
Let’s start with the positives- hotel’s proximity is great. And when I arrived, the staff was very helpful and polite. That’s about it. As many have stated, this hotel is outdated and not appealing. Everything feels dark. My room’s air conditioner sounds like a plane coming up to speed. The room’s tub is dirty enough that I looked for shower shoes at the Walmart across the street. Website does NOT list that the restaurant is closed or that there is no breakfast available anymore. Parking lot has large potholes. My door’s handle was even a problem. Will never stay here again. Lesson learned! (Always check trip advisor before booking).
I can't believe this is a @Marriott property. We joined Marriott Bonvoy program for consistent quality. We are not expecting the Four Seasons or anything. Four Points Sheraton in West Lafayette is a hotel that looks like it might get razed by the bulldozers any minute. Filthy carpeting with tears and stains from the lobby to our hallway. Abandoned main atria with dying palm trees, empty rooms and abandoned soda coffee machines. No breakfast, pathetic coffee offering in the morning. Room seems ok except for the dirty carpet, dusty corners, stained. Bathtub various garbage under the bed. Pillowcase covers looked wrinkled when we got here I pray they were actually washed before we arrived.Room has no heat and front lobby offered to move us because no one could fix it. Hotel main receptionist was on duty for 24 hours straight. Nice person her service was fine.I guess Marriotts plan was to drive the Sheraton brand out of business and build something else here. Marriott branding inside here is very subdued. Graduation weekend, so we are stuck with this place. Stay in Lafayette if West Lafayette is booked up. Don't resort to this place.
