My son signed up to live there next year 2023/24 in 2B/2B phase2. I hope we would not be facing such negative experience as left on the review board as he had good experience during his visit/tour and that's the reason why he signed up. View all feedback.
What Shengchao Li doesn't like about Chauncey Square:
The pay machine at the garage exit swallows your ticket!!! Then it will charge you $25 for a lost parking ticket, and you have to pay this ridiculous amount to exit for even 1 hour parking. Call button on the machine didn’t work and of course no number available to call. This is the stupidest thing I have experienced in 2023! View all feedback.
Great place to live! Has a great location from campus, right in the Chauncey hub. Love seeing the staff in the leasing

Great apartments, facilities, and location for a good price. Had a setback with lack of communication for a sublet, but the management team were quick on getting an alternate. Faith Garrett, especially, held a good communication and was super helpful during the process.

I wish there were an option for ZERO stars. DO NOT rent from Chauncey Square; it is ridiculously overpriced, and there is no oversight at all. Our son 's roommate smoked pot from dawn to dusk, which was a disaster in terms of living conditions, but not a peep from Chauncey. Additionally, their outdoor grills that they advertised never worked, and they saddled us with hundreds of dollars of totally ridiculous fees upon check out. Amazingly, it 's worth having a lawyer look at their rental agreement; they basically tell you they can (and will) charge you another month 's rent for incidentals they find. Oh, there is a smudge on the bathroom wall; that 's $200, and the mirror is off center, that 's another $150, and so on. Speaking of the rental agreement, it 's not even for 12 months; it 's 11 1/2, but they charge you for all 12. This is also an apartment complex, yet their office effectively works bankers ' hours, so good luck with an issue at 6:30, pm or am... I could keep going all day, but rent from Chauncey at your own risk. I have rented a lot of apartments in my lifetime, and Chauncey is by far the worst landlord, providing the worst experience I have ever dealt with. It 's impossible for me to believe there is a worse place to rent in W. Lafayette.
