nice local with large dehor that from on the walk along the passirio. proposes a wide choice of pizza and various dishes, to be considered also for a simple break, we tried an ice cream cup and a drink, all in the average. View all feedback.
We just stopped by for drinks ... great location, good selection. Friendly staff who offered suggestions. Nice views!
Merano is a great place to go lunch and eat in amongst wonderful scenery and, should it take you, people watching opportunities: Giardino is almost riverside (what a river! and the food here is almost decent a calzone was quite authentic, but the salad was half thought through and hastily assembled, while the drinks (especially the Veneziano were dire. More worryingly was the service indifferent is probably being kind. Would we go back? to Merano, yes. to Giardino, no, more especially when there are so many other decent places to lunch in such a wonderful town and where waiting staff are prepared to properly attend to their customers. Need to do better.
On Easter Saturday we were visiting Meran and after heavy shopping very thirsty and looking around for some drinks. We found a table and after 30 minutes waiting and no attention of the staff we left the place and moved to another place. Sorry we were interested to buy something but they were not interested to serve!
Good location on terrace beside Kurhaus and river. Food – a salad – OK. Reasonable price. Let down by brusque indifference of staff.
Merano was a lunch stop between Corvara and Bormio for my wife and I and Ristorante Giardino was convenient and provided tasty fare! We ordered a simple pasta dish and a beer or two and enjoyed both. Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, prompt service and a reasonable menu. The outdoor seating was a bonus!! Cons: None really!! A nice pleasant lunch!! And good value at €25 for the both of us!!
