Wonderful service and decent food. It would be nice to have more plant-based options and less olive oil (we had two dishes that were swimming in it). Bruschetta and wine were superb. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Zarletti Mequon:
Everything was off today. Service good but food was mediocre. It's usually good. Crab cakes tasted like bought at grocery store usually nice and flaky. Pizza dry and hard usually have more sauce and juicier. The double chocolate cake was dry and flavorless. Also ordered $5 caffe latte. It was very little. Came with no foam what? It was lukewarm yikes. View all feedback.
Another perfect meal! I did notice the price increases on the pizza menu but they are the best Pizza in WI and worth every penny! The drinks are great! I tried the scallop special and as usual the Tiramisu was wonderful!
We come back to Zarletti-Mequon on a pretty regular basis and have never been disappointed in either the food or service. They have an excellent (though a bit pricey) wine selection. We're just back from a trip to Northern Italy and last night brought back pleasant memories of the food there.
2 people seated at a high top. One cocktail delivered, second cocktail wasn't made and not delivered for an extended period. Two half salads and two pizzas ordered. One salad and pizza arrive within minutes of order. Had to wave down waiter, explains he didn't put in other salad and pizza order so they'd arrive together. Made no sense. Tried to cancel 2nd salad, waiter comps it and delivers it to go, other pizza arrives and he comps that as well. While he did right by us, the entire experience was unacceptable for what would have been a $90+ dinner. First time back since pandemic, service has not improved. Food is good.
Had the filetto di manzo e funghi. It had a good flavor. However the beef tips were a bit dry, It was served with Pappardelle which had the right al dante texture but not enough sauce. Overall it was very good, but I won 't order this dish again. The service was appropriate and the general atmosphere informal and friendly.
We had service from a young woman who apparently had no training. It appeared she didn't have any personal experience dining in a formal restaurant. Our orders were taken in a broken way and she had to come back with very basic questions. Then our salads and entrees with brought at the same time and it took an argument with the delivery person to have him bring our entrees back when the salads were about done. When he balked at the idea of taking our entrees back I asked him if he had ever eaten at a formal restaurant and he replied no. I'm sure both these people were good youngsters, but really, do you want to continue what we've favorably experienced at Zarletti's (Mequon and downtown) or do you want to throw itall away? I'll wait till I recommend Zarletti's to anyone.
