The service was bright and a... read more I recently visited Port Road Pizza in Mequon, an Italian restaurant that I find myself drawn to, though I can't quite pinpoint why. The service was bright and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere that I appreciated. There’s something oddly comforting about the familiar yet slightly outdated decor. Most of the dishes I tried had room for improvement, but overall they were acceptable. The pizza was decent, although the sauce could benefit from a touch of lemon and garlic. The burger was a bit small, but it was satisfactory, especially with the fresh vegetables included. The salad, while composed of good ingredients, felt somewhat dry. As for the calamari, I was quite disappointed. What I received consisted mostly of large pieces of breading, with at least 50% of it being bread rather than the seafood I was hoping for. Overall, I would rate this experience around 3.5 out of 5. Depending on the perspective, it could be as low as 2.5 or as high as 4.0, but I think 3.1 might be more accurate.

Would like to go back for pizza after tasting their awesome perfectly done risotto specials. Priced very reasonably.
