large caffe with many vegetarian options! While there were no clearly marked vegan options, all vegetarian choices could be easily modified without cheese. both suppen were vegan and the staff was very good at the ingredients of the dishes. great place to stop when looking for a fast lunch and amazing coffee. they also have breakfast here View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Golden Leaf Cafe:
I was really disappointed to come here. they had a lot of breakfast potato bowls I wanted to try and without eggs or cheese, it could be easy vegan! when we went to order, the owner told us that they can't make one of the bowls without a rush. So we tried to order another bowl and they said again, they can't do it without a rush. in the round they can not change anything in the bowl. she showed us some other options,... View all feedback.
There were no clearly marked vegan food choices on the menu, but there were some vegetarian options that could potentially be made vegan upon request. Additionally, when ordering coffee, you have the option to substitute soy milk, almond milk, or oat milk for an additional $1.
I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I was excited to try their variety of breakfast potato bowls, especially since they could easily be made vegan without eggs or cheese. However, when we tried to order a bowl without eggs, the owner informed us that they were unable to accommodate that request. We attempted to order a different bowl without eggs, but were once again told they could not make it without egg. It seems they are unable to make any modifications to their dishes. The owner did suggest some other options, such as vegan pasta salad and couscous, but overall, I left feeling let down by the lack of flexibility in the menu.
This fantastic cafe offers a wide variety of vegetarian options. Although there were no specifically labeled vegan dishes, all the vegetarian choices could easily be made without cheese. Both soups were also vegan, and the staff were very informed about the ingredients in each dish. It's a perfect place to grab a quick lunch and exceptional coffee, and they also serve breakfast.
Nothing clearly labeled vegan, staff mentioned we could take off cheese or egg but had no substitutes for breakfast. Description says foods labeled as vegan but it's vegetarian at best. Updated from previous review on 2022-06-11
The word vegan is nowhere on the menu (breakfast or lunch), and there really is nothing that can be made vegan. Even the veggie burgers are not vegan.
