What User doesn't like about Los Chocos:
Os anfitriões são excelentes. Claro o esforço em agradar. Entretanto a avaliação também tem que que contar a enogastronomia. Vinhos bem simples, não espere um reserva ou gran reserva. Comida bem apresentada mas moela, pate de fígado e cabra são comidas que podem não agradar todos os paladares. O preço é o dobro de um menu harmonizado em uma bodega e a qualidade metade. Pelo preço atual não voltaria ou recomendaria. View all feedback.
The evening in los chocos was the greatest culinary experience I ever had. eating, the atmosphere and the hospitality were all absolutely amazing. this place is so special. I can not recommend los chocos enough, and it was really the highlight of our time in mendoza.
My fiancée and I went to the first night of the reopening of los chocos and it was so wonderful. two things that we love to travel are eating and the wine of the city where we meet new people and that gave us both the best wise. the table was set for four and we met a wonderful man from Colombia who traveled to Argentine to reconnect with his roots, and one of the friends of the cook who lived down on the street and a lifetime mendozan. that was amazing. we were absolutely filled at the end. the chef served and presented some traditional Mendozan dishes and our hostess, in which it was home, in which a weingut works, the dishes perfectly paired with free flowing wine from the region. also her home was absolutely beautiful. so many personal touches to this house where she lived for most of her life and raised her now grown-up family. that is not a food for anyone who travels in mendoza. one of the high points of our two weeks' journey. we also went on New Year's Day and no taxis were around and the host even gave us a ride back to our hotel!
My second time in los chocos and I was as impressed as the first time. Eating is amazing, service is first class. all about this place is wonderful!
Martin and luciano gave us a wonderful gastronomic experience the eating was excellent and the service also. do not miss it when they go to mendoza
Closed door restaurant: los chaos What a disappointment! I had read so much about these closed door restaurants and how they were in people’s homes and you were treated like guests. Well, not this one. I was looking forward to sitting with other guests and...when we entered the restaurant, were ushered to a small, dark dining room, with The table set for I asked if there were going to be other guests and was told no. I explained that I was hoping to share our evening with others as this Was supposed to be a big part of the experience. This restaurant is not in the chef’s home, but in a small restaurant that he runs. I asked to sit in the Restaurant which was sweet and more airey than the dining room, but was told we could not. We sat at the table and were not offered anything – nothing to drink – no bread – nothing. We finally asked if we could have a drink or a glass of white wine. We were offered sangria (no thanks too sweet) or red wine! We told them we like to start with white and move to red, but that’s not how they do it here. The wine was passable and the first course arrived at least a half hour after we arrived and it was good, but too much food and too filling for a starter. I won’t bore you with all the other courses, save to say they are the same he has been serving for the past few years. The main course, goat, was very Disappointing!!! See the other reviews. The wines they opened were no more than pesos each – very ordinary. The cost was US, per person, and just not at all worth it – the experience of dining, with strangers, in the chef’s home just did not happen. The waiter Was sweet, though very inexperienced. The chef was charming, but only came in to explain each course. And we were served white wine, after the red, with The second course! This place missed the boat.
