Was bobh at Mendon 64 a mag?
The food and service were excellent. However, the atmosphere was somewhat marred by a few large, overly bold paintings that felt out of character for this beautifully restored old building. Additionally, there were no beef dishes on the menu. With the low ceilings of what used to be a home, the noise level became quite bothersome once the restaurant filled up. View all feedback.
What JOEYB dislikes about Mendon 64:
This was my second visit to this restaurant, and I must say I’m unimpressed. The menu features a strange assortment of dishes that could be intriguing, but unfortunately, they are poorly executed and fail to meet expectations. This place could really benefit from a complete menu overhaul, as I doubt many customers will return after their first experience. View all feedback.

Food was great! Every time we return to Mendon 64 we are greeted by a waitress that clearly hates being a server. After 4 visits the food can't make up for the quality of service. Won't return.
I have always enjoyed Mendon 64, I will admit I hadn't had dinner there in several months, but I must say I was disappointed during my recent Saturday evening visit. The food was fine ONCE it arrived, there was 6 of us, the first meal arrived approximately 12 to 15 minutes before last meal arrived. The drinks are adequate, but we had to remind our server twice about 2 missing drinks. The server was pleasant, but obviously overwhelmed for some reason. The ambiance is pleasing as usual. I feel bad to be writing a poor review, maybe they were just having a bad night. Be assured I will return, hopefully they will be having a better night. Love you Hilary!
The ambiance matched the subpar food. We were seated at a table next to a door leading to a patio where a loud band was playing just 10-12 feet away. The servers kept leaving the door open, making it impossible to hold a conversation. After some time, we managed to get moved to a quieter spot. The servers seemed to be trying their best, but they were clearly struggling in what felt like a chaotic environment.
My fiancé and I visited the restaurant last night to give it a try. The food was exceptional, and I really appreciated how they cater to vegetarians, which is important to me. I had the roasted Brussels sprouts with candied walnuts and mushrooms drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette, and it was absolutely delicious. For my main dish, I ordered the sriracha honey with rice, broccoli, and tofu, which was also excellent. However, the standout for me was definitely the Brussels sprout appetizer.
The service was good. The meal was spotty. The buratta appetizer was great with excellent cheese and tasty tomatoes. The entrees were weak. I had the duck special which was served unintentionally cool/cold. It's like it had been sitting around the kitchen for an hour or two. The pasta was meh... The ambience was nice. Good sound level and an okay vibe. Wouldn't come here again.

2nd time there- went for my wife’s bday. The server was horrible. No personality, didn’t even wish my wife a birthday when I reminded her. She checked on us 1x the whole meal. The food is good for sure but I couldn’t get the bill fast enough last night to get out of there and away from the lack of personality of our rude server.
Strong Chicken selections! Recommend. Remove olives from chicken French, awkward combo. Need to up appetizer game, limited choices. Pad tai not in wheel house, stick to other dishes. Not crowded but somewhat slow overall
The duck special was served lukewarm and was not very good. The pasta was average. I would not dine at this restaurant again.

We had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant, with delicious food and a stunning dining room! Everything we tried was delightful, from the pumpkin spice martini to the bread, butter, Caesar salads, and our main courses. We were thoroughly impressed and satisfied with the meal. The hostess was friendly and accommodating, but our server could have been more personable. She seemed a bit disinterested in engaging with us; for instance, after sharing the specials, she quickly walked away. When I inquired about a dinner choice, all I got was a brief "yeah" before she moved on to my partner's order. We both felt that was the only minor drawback. Other than that, it was an amazing experience! We’re so glad we discovered this place during our weekend getaway!
Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the atmosphere was charming. The service was exceptional too. However, it was a bit louder than we would have preferred. I had requested a quiet table when making the reservation, but it appears that the layout doesn't allow for any truly quiet spots. Nonetheless, we still had an enjoyable meal.
The chicken in the chicken Parmesan was incredibly tender! The Brie and chicken sandwich was also delicious. Our waitress was attentive, despite it being a busy Friday. This restaurant is quickly becoming our favorite local spot to dine.
Oysters were great and a nice menu surprise. Entrees were very good. Service was a little spotty in that oyster ordered was mixed up and we had to search out napkins and silverware after appetizer was brought to table. Waitress was very friendly but was oblivious to service short comings.
Overall, the food, drinks, and service were excellent. The ambiance was lovely, although we were seated near an exit door that let in a chilly draft. The space was roomy, with a large bar area where most of the guests gathered. The martinis and wine were delightful, and both the French dish and Pad Thai were delicious. However, for those with less adventurous tastes, my husband's burger was not up to par. I would highly recommend this place, especially for those who are open to trying new things.

We had an amazing dining experience at this hidden gem! Our server was fantastic, and we will definitely be back!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service from Claire was outstanding—she was both friendly and attentive. The duck broth soup was surprisingly delicious; it was almost perfect!
Always excellent. While it is slightly on the expensive side, the quality of the food makes it worth it. We visited during the winter, and despite being seated by a drafty window with the wind and snow outside, we still had a wonderful experience. We just returned and enjoyed a delightful meal outside in the front. No complaints whatsoever!
Very nice night out! Fresh Oysters that were delicious and the red coconut curry w Shrimp was outstanding! Very good food of late and excellent service as well!
We really liked Mendon 64! We had a hard time finding the door since there wasn't a sign out front, but we eventually found it! The inside was super cute, for an older school restaurant, but it did smell like must in there. Next time I'd probably eatoutside since they have a very cute outdoor area. The lobster egg rolls were the star! They weren't overly fried and you couldclearly taste the lobster inside. They were so flavorful and clearly made in house. It came with two delicious dipping saucesbut the egg rolls themselves were very moist. The homemade gnocchi was very good! The pad Thai was definitely not authentic, soI would probably order something else next time, but maybe if they labelled it asian noodle stir fry that would be morerealistic, since it was still pretty good. The service was on point and the food came out very fast!

Definitely a hidden gem! The food was exceptional. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan and said it was so tender it melted in his mouth. I chose the pork chop special, which was also fantastic. We didn't have a reservation, but that wasn't an issue at all. The service was excellent! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We had a large group, and everyone was satisfied with their experience. Our server did a fantastic job. The food was delicious and innovative, standing out from the usual offerings. I appreciated how the kitchen accommodated my dietary requirements with modifications—thank you! The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, featuring plenty of rustic barn wood. - Service: Dine-in - Meal type: Dinner - Price per person: $30–50 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 5/5 - Atmosphere: 5/5
**Dining Experience:** Dinner **Price Range:** $20–30 per person **Food Rating:** 5/5 **Service Rating:** 5/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 5/5 I wholeheartedly recommend the Scallop Special, the Roasted Duck Bacon Brussels Sprouts, and the Garlic Mashed Potatoes. You simply can't miss the Bison NY Strip—it’s a must-try! **Parking:** Ample free parking is available in the lot. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience!
We hosted a party here, and unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. Despite spending a considerable amount on the event, there wasn’t enough food or seating for our family. We had clearly indicated a severe seafood allergy, yet they still served a seafood dish that we hadn’t ordered. Additionally, many items we did order never arrived. We had to ask for more seating and table space because the area reserved for us was far too cramped. This might be a decent spot for dining with a smaller group, but it appears that they frequently host larger parties, and our experience did not meet our expectations at all.

We waited such a long time for drinks, and had to ask 3 times for bread before we got any. We had to flag down a server to refill our drinks (and we waited awhile before doing that). I’m not sure why it wasn’t even that busy. The food was outstanding but for a $300 meal, I honestly don’t think we’ll come back again. Our server was very friendly though, just really slow slow slow service.
Really slow service. We waited 20 minutes for water! The olives in the chicken French made it too salty
