Flannels Grill - Mendon
Flannels Grill
Description
Nestled in a weathered tavern atmosphere, this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews from diners. While some have praised the friendly staff and standout dishes like lasagna and fried ravioli, others have lamented overcooked burgers and lackluster appetizers. Diners appreciated the well-stocked bar and prompt service but expressed disappointment over high prices and inconsistent food quality. Despite the negatives, one could find moments of culinary delight, especially with the chef's specials and locally sourced ingredients. The inviting ambiance and attentive service, particularly noted during anniversary celebrations, suggest a potential worth exploring, despite the need for improvement in several areas.

I absolutely adored this restaurant! The food was delicious, and my favorite dish was the apple pie served with ice-cream and cheese.
The mac and cheese is amazing. The steak is delicious. The loaded tots are top-tier. The staff are excellent. Overall, this restaurant deserves a perfect rating of 5 stars.
We visited this restaurant after a day of snowmobiling and were pleasantly surprised. My favorite dish was the fried ravioli with maple Sriracha dip - the combination of flavors was perfect! We also tried the chicken pot pie and gnocchi with cream pesto sauce. I would order the chicken pot pie again, but the gnocchi was overcooked for my taste. The restaurant had a great variety of beers on tap. We would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
I visited Flannels for the first time tonight and was impressed by the cozy tavern atmosphere. The staff, including the waitress and bartender, were extremely friendly and attentive. My beer order was promptly taken and my French onion soup arrived within minutes. The shepards pie I ordered was also delivered quickly and was delicious. The portion size was generous and the food was made with quality ingredients and fresh spices. The restaurant is welcoming and the food is high quality without being expensive. I highly recommend giving Flannels a try for a great dining experience.
After waiting an hour for our meals, they arrived lukewarm. My burger was overcooked and lacked seasoning. I had to pay an additional $4 for a side of fries that should have been included with my burger. On top of that, I was charged $3 for a slice of cheese on my burger, making my total bill around $45 for a cheeseburger, fries, small baileys coffee, and service charge. This was one of the most overpriced restaurants I have ever been to, and the quality of the food did not justify the cost. I felt like I was taken advantage of. In response to the owner's comment about the refund for items not ordered, I appreciate the acknowledgment. However, I disagree with the owner's timing of food orders and delivery, as we waited a long time for our food and it arrived lukewarm. I understand that the owner may defend the high prices of the menu items, but as someone who enjoys burgers, I was not satisfied with what I received for the price. I would have appreciated more honesty and transparency regarding the additional charges for simple items like cheese and eggs. Overall, I hope the owner takes this feedback to heart and considers making improvements to the overall dining experience.
