As someone who grew up in the area, "The Broiler" has always been a go-to spot for a delicious steak. After more than ten years, we revisited the restaurant and were pleased to find that the quality is still top-notch. The decor may be a bit outdated, but that's all part of the charm of this place. It's clean, spacious, and has maintained its original look from over forty years ago. The service was good, although it could have been a bit more attentive. Nevertheless, we received everything we wanted in a timely manner. "The Broiler" is renowned for their steaks, which are grilled over oak wood. We opted for the NY strip steaks cooked medium rare, along with a baked potato, pilaf, and dinner salad. The flavors were just as delicious as we remembered. The steaks had a perfect crust from the wood fire, with a subtle hint of smokiness. The interior was tender and flavorful, with a nice, warm red center. I chose to season mine at the table, and the horseradish sauce provided a spicy kick that complemented the dish well. Overall, "The Broiler" comes highly recommended for anyone craving a satisfying steak dinner.
