Was Astrid Schmidt at Chalet Pedro a mag?
Every year we go there and we are never disappointed! The kitchen is on top, I recommend the ceps (of course) and the ribs of sheep: a delight. The servers are adorable and reactive. Zaza is always a love. I recommend 1000% if you go around shamefully to you if you don't stop there. Go tell me some news! View all feedback.

What Frédéric MOMBLE AVICE dislikes about Chalet Pedro:
Quite cold reception. Credit card not accepted but notified when booking. Excessive price for the menu omelet with porcini mushrooms ham at €28 which does not offer a starter (excellent products however). If you add an entry, the bill climbs very quickly. A pure moment of happiness in the mountains. Very friendly welcome and manager. The comfortable chalet with a neat exterior and above all games for children. On the restaurant side, copious and excellent dishes, attentive staff like the manager. A place to visit without hesitation. Looking forward to seeing each other again, Idabelle and the whole team

We ate very well, the eels were great. Great welcome despite the rush. However, you must make a reservation otherwise you risk not eating. And no credit card! The restaurant is worth the detour but so are the landscapes. It is superb !

Stopped by chance while traveling through the Basque region. The restaurant and guest rooms are in an idyllic forest valley setting with lush greenery all around, so typical of the area. We had an excellent ‘poêlée de cèpes’ and some fried eel. For mains, the perfectly grilled entrecôtes were accompanied by scrumptious fries. Desserts were the quintessential ‘îles flottantes’ and a chocolate fondant. The setting is just perfect so make sure to book as we were lucky to find a place for lunch when we turned up. Will be back in October for the salmis de palombe! Friendly staff.

Up in the Pyrenees is this wonderful gem. In beautiful condition befitting the scene. Two lovely hosts. One spoke English. The food was just great. Trout meunière was sublime, fresh and clean. The confit of canard with frites was classic. Coupled with the mountain surrounds and lovely hosts it was almost the perfect lunch. The drive is not a concern. Try to make it to this reasonably out of the way place.
