I disagree with some of the comments ab... read more We have visited this restaurant a few times this year, whether it was for coffee and cake or a sandwich lunch last week. I disagree with some of the comments about the café's extension – we think it's great! We love the cozy booths at the end, they create an intimate atmosphere. Today, I had my favorite dish, the Prawn Sandwich, and it was superb. My wife ordered the Salmon Salad from the Specials Board and she was very impressed – there was plenty of salmon and salad on the plate. The generous portions at this restaurant ensure that you never leave hungry. The staff, although very busy, always greet you with a cheerful smile. We will definitely be back soon.

My daughter had the fish soup, w... read more We visited the restaurant after checking out the excellent farm shop, which had a lot of artisan products at reasonable prices. My daughter had the fish soup, which was loaded with salmon and cod in a delicious sauce. The garlic aioli and other dip were also tasty. However, the croutons were soft and not very enjoyable, so a chunk of crusty bread would have been a better choice. I ordered the fishcakes, which were unexpectedly large and served with a delicious tartare sauce. Unfortunately, the chips were terrible - the worst I've ever had at a restaurant, and there were far too many of them. If they had fluffy potatoes with a crispy coating, I would have given this place 5 stars. Overall, it was a very reasonable price at £25 for two including drinks. We will likely return, but will probably skip the chips next time.
