The coleslaw was tasteless, the souvlaki was overcooked and burnt with no seasoning, the tzatziki was tasteless, and the gyros was the only thing that tasted good to all six of us. What we did like was the atmosphere.

We were plea... read more Since our favorite Greek restaurant was unfortunately already fully booked, we spontaneously decided to try Restaurant Athen with a group of eight. We were pleasantly surprised to find a table at such short notice. The food was rather expensive for what it was priced, but the portions were generous enough to fill us up. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Our waitress seemed noticeably grumpy, which was apparent to everyone at the table. Her demeanor created a distinctly unpleasant atmosphere whenever she was near us. The appetizer was disappointing. The sauerkraut was practically tasteless; the children left it untouched, and we adults only ate it half-heartedly out of hunger. It was anything but enjoyable; a salad would definitely have been a better choice. Overall, the visit was not a positive experience. Compared to our usual Greek restaurant, Athen felt more like an overpriced fast-food joint. We won't be returning.

The food is deliciously prepared; every bite tastes fresh and perfectly seasoned. The exceptionally generous portions are particularly noteworthy; you definitely get a lot for your money, so even those with hearty appetites will be satisfied. The dessert is a true highlight and provides a wonderful finishing touch to the meal. The ambiance is pleasant and well-maintained: the decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, ideal for a relaxed dinner for two or with the family. The service was attentive and friendly (the order was taken promptly, and special requests were accommodated). For me, the price-performance ratio is excellent; anyone who appreciates good food in generous portions will love this place. A clear recommendation – I'll gladly return.

I'm always particularly impressed by the staff; service is quick, and requests for food are always accommodated. Even on busier days, all orders are perfectly executed. The various dining areas are cozy, and the outdoor area is beautifully designed. There's also pleasant, unobtrusive music in the background. If it gets late, the staff doesn't rush and waits until the end of the round. Thank you for the good work and the delicious food.
