Feedback
This is a popular BBQ restaurant in downtown Memphis, which is obvious by looking at the long lines at the entrance. The wait outside will be worth it when you taste the food here. You have to order the food at the counter and then seat yourself. Thereis a lot of seating inside and they also have patio seating. The walls of the restaurant are adorned with lots of differentquirky artifacts and stickers. We ordered chicken wings with the rub served with ranch. The rub of this restaurant is famousand is different from anything that we have had before. It was smokey and spicy and tasted really good. We also ordered pulledchicken sandwich with house chips. The pulled chicken sandwich had BBQ mild sauce and it was not as good as the wings. We alsowanted to eat banana pudding but they were out of it. There are multiple options of sweet tea, soda, lemonade and alcoholicdrinks. We enjoyed the food here. Its a must visit when you are in Memphis downtown especially for their famous rub.
Line moved slowly. Was happy to find an option for party packs meat for 6, buns, and a side of slaw. Party pack pricing was excellent and far cheaper than ordering separate sandwiches. We had pulled pork and our family of 5 ate it all comfortably. The slaw side was tiny and a little more vinegary tasting than we prefer. I also order a large side of mac n cheese not really a family sharing size, but we thought the mac n cheese was tasty. The pulled pork was ok, nothing special and lots of fatty pieces. The buns were grocery store white buns less than special. The best part of our meal was the desserts a very rich piece of peanut butter pie and the banana pudding. Very easy to walk to from the National Civil Rights museum. Free parking in the museum lot or on the street. Line stretched out the door when we left.
