Bagel Biz - Melville

The bagels are good, but I've noticed that the staff behind the counter tend to try to pass off the worst ones when they think you aren't paying attention. I've been there several times and it seems to happen every time. However, when you ask them directly, they are accommodating.

When you walk in on most days, it’s usually really crowded. You might be curious as to why, and the answer is simple: the food is fantastic. Their bagels and baked goods are exceptional, and they also serve a variety of classic deli dishes. I highly recommend texting your order ahead of time, keeping it brief and straightforward like a simple list. The more you visit, the more familiar the staff will become with your name and your usual order, and the quality is always reliable. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

We had a fantastic experience with their delicious everything bagels and nova lox. The scallion cream cheese was also a highlight. The service was quick, and there was an impressive variety of pastries and cookies to choose from!

If I could give less than a star I would. I have been a loyal customer for a couple decades and the last couple visits I have had have been bad. They?ve been messing up my orders and todays the day I had enough. I asked for a dozen and the employee whogave me the dozen cheated me out on 3 bagels. She gave me 9 bagels! I called the store up to tell them this and the employee Ispoke to sarcastically say he?s sorry and to come back for the extra bagels they missed. It?ll cost me more money in gas to gojust for their mistake. Make sure next time you go, you check how many bagels they gave you because they?ll cheat you on somebagels. Unbelievably disgusting and disrespectful. Now they lost a loyal customer

This restaurant can get quite busy at times, but it is definitely worth the wait. The fast and friendly service helps move things along quickly, even with a crowd. Their fresh and delicious bagels and cakes offer great value. I truly love this place!
