It was a Monday night I'd been let down by the other pub in the village not serving food . The landlady rustled me up pie and mash , very tasty and generous portion , nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was extremely friendly . Lovely pub which I would recommend visiting . Revisited after not being to this village for a couple of years. Disappointed at the loss of the choice of a local beer but a nice pint of Timothy Taylor. Unfortunately the pub was cold and keeping coats on was necessary . No food available and stand in barman stated no chef employed at present. Lovely cosy pub with a lovely open fire. Bar man was very friendly and helpful. Recommend a visit.
Lovely Old pub lovely to see such fine decor from the light fittings to the old flooring think if I recall the Manager said it was built on the 18 hundreds nice to have a quick bite and refreshments whilst waiting for the bus into Leicester.
A really nice Pub, all the drinks were fresh and enjoyed. Didn't feel uncomfortable each time we have visited (old bloke out for a drink with daughter and partner).Looks like it may become my new local.
