We enjoyed a lovely gin and tonic before our Indian meal at this beautiful restaurant. The bar was very nice and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be coming back here again. View all feedback.
What bee c doesn't like about Rutland Arms:
Popped in for a quick drink lunchtime, my husband had a pint I had a half of shandy, his lager was fine, mine was as flat as Twiggys chest, didn't want to make a fuss, but left feeling disappointed and thirsty. View all feedback.
Spice India, firstly the decor staff are outstanding, service is second to none. Well let's talk about the food .... Such a comprehensive menu the staff to guide your way through it if necessary, every course from starter to finish is divine and presentation to match. If you enjoy quality, Indian cuisine do not miss this restaurant.
Always made to feel welcome with a good homely atmosphere, sadly only do meals at lunchtime, I had the best lasagne ever here.
I went to this pub with my family (me myPartner and 2 kids) we were having a nice drink whilst we waited for friends to arrive until the LANDLADY! came to the bar and asked if my child doesn't like being in pub, I asked why she replied because she's crying. I said its a he and yeah he's ok, for her to then say can you leave the pub because shes crying too much. My child is a boy not a girl for a start and he only cried for 15 seconds. I was under the impression it was a family pub as we have been before and never had any problems but I've also never seen the landlady before! She had no respect at all she was really rude the way she spoke to us! She made me feel awful. There were only 2 other people in the pub at the time too! WORST PUB I'VE EVER BEEN TOO!
Visited on a Monday, which is usually a bad day for restaurants as they tend to focus on the weekend. This pub had a reasonable menu and all four of us enjoyed the food and found it very acceptable and good value. Liver and Onions was a pleasant surprise and went down well with my wife! The desserts were good and so was the accompanying custard!
Popped in for lunch last week as it's just around the corner from my parents house. The pubs recently refurbished it's lunch bar and (apparently) has a new manager. The new saloon bar is really nice, smart and comfortable. The food was perfectly ok and un believably cheap. I had a ploughman's lunch for a fiver. OK, it didn't have a pickled onion or any tomato but it had a huge chunk of cheese. Crazy really when they could cut back on the expensive stuff and at some cheap variety bits.Dad had sausage and mash with veg great value and we cooked. If you're looking for a nice pint and inexpensive, good value food, it's pretty hard to beat. Not the best meal I've ever had but certainly up there for value.
