However, the charm is mired by inconsistent food quality, often served cold and lacking attention. While some diners appreciate the affordability and decent meals, others report rude service and unsatisfactory restroom conditions. Despite its popularity and award-winning toilets, cleanliness remains an issue. With its varied seating and overall ambiance, this spot offers a mixed dining experience, making it suitable for budget seekers but leaving others wanting more in both service and culinary excellence.
Friendly atmosphere. excellent food and service. great to sit in front of real log fire
The coffee machines did not work properly and the staff did not adhere to the adjustment of the amounts, so that we were a bit out of the core. both mugs we got were chipped, but the staff has exchanged them for us. the food was hot and tasty and the service was quite fast, so a total of 4 stars.
Spoons so cheap, fast efficient. purer than some, more definite light than many I have eaten. pity that the garden is open to the main street, but that doesn't hold against it. will surely be lunch next time in the opposite
Went here with my wife and 14 year old. Not expecting too much as it is a Wetherspoons . We all had meal and wow, fantastic meal, we all enjoyed. Best of all less than £25 for 3 meals and drinks. Definitely going back there.
Get what you pay for food wise. Microwave food tastes half decent. Nice and cheap. Female manager is rude and treats you asking for the disabled/baby changing room key as an inconvenience then command's her staff to do it rather than asks nicely. Says a lot about a person when they speak down to their staff. Hence the 4 stars
