Koloman is going for the chic trendy look, but this doesn't really work...as it's clientel are neither chic nor trendy, it is a tourist burger joint. It is busy one though as many of the tables were reserved. We were shown to table which was much lower than the chair and people were having to eat dinner from their lap, it was also uncomfortably hot and people on neighboring tables were smoking which my wife hates, so we asked if we could eat inside as the other tables were busy or booked. This was so inconvenient for the waiter his sighs were embarrassing. In the end we were offered the table that was previously occupied by some staff. It was fine once we wiped away all the cigarette ash. The burgers are quite pricey for Austria and fries, sauce, onion rings are all extra. Not terrible, but not cheap for what you get. The burgers are pretty good, though not in my top 20. Good quality meat but a bit overcooked and dry, which may be why they arrived just a few minutes after ordering were they cooked before we ordered? We ordered cocktails, I love a margherita but you can't order a normal one here, you have to have a banana or kiwi one which is not cool, there didn't seem to be much booze in it either. We were out the door barely half an hour after arriving, we didn't really enjoy the ambience of the restaurant, the surly waiter, the cigarette smoke, or the beating sun which shooed us away before we could look at the desert menu. The burger was decent, and certainly better than burger chain fodder. Mostly, this place isn't half as cool as it thinks it is.

Vielleicht sollte... read more Für die angebotenen Speisen kann ich ein fast perfekt vergeben. Die von uns bestellten Burger waren reichlich und sehr schmackhaft zubereitet. Vielleicht sollte man sich etwas bei der Dekoration der Teller überlegen, mein Burger wirkte etwas verloren am großen Teller. Leider hatte unser Speiseraum das Flair einer Kantine! Fliesenboden, Flecken auf den Bänken und eine viel zu helle Beleuchtung - leider! Super finden wir die Reservierung über eine Website.

Although it was very busy, we had our food pretty fast. after that we ordered a cocktail. the restaurant has a large cocktail menu, including 2 non-alcoholic, which is beautiful for children! prices for food and drinks are not too high. location is beautiful, near the center of melk. if you are in the city, you must go to koloman!
