La Barraca De Toni Montoliu - Meliana

Would highly recommend! This was one of my best experiences while in Valencia. Toni and the staff are super welcoming, allowed me to participate in the cooking and offered wine and snacks while we waited for the Paella. He has fresh grown vegetables on the property and we'll kept live animals. I would do this again while in Valencia. There is also a train station walking distance from the center historical of Valencia thst can you can hop in to get to Toni's location.

Coming here was an experience, and a wonderful one at that. It is located on a farm area a little away from the city, which is nice to get away from all the hustle amd bustle of a big city every now and then. There are animals and dogs and cats, which I loved because it added to the farm feel of the location. Toni was exceptionally hospitable and kind to everyone in my large group of over 30 people. We picked the vegetables ourselves, and even got to help cook some of the paella. This is not only the best paella I 've ever had, but also the best meal I 've had since I 've been here in Spain for 5 weeks. It is definitely worth your while to come here.

For me the best place outside the city to eat a paella. Toni is a great person, the concept is that everybody eats the same menu. Watch out because there are so many starters you need to keep some place for the amazing paella! After lunch you can go for a little ride with the horse carriage.

Sábado 28.9.24, mucha fama pero gran decepción en todo, abarca tanto a la vez que.... bajón en calidad de comida y vale que el menú 30€ pero gran clavada en bebidas, servicio lento, pero camareros majisimos No volveré más porque aunque el entorno es bonito y original no vale la pena

El lugar está en medio de la huerta y es muy acogedor, pero dan de comer a todos los comensales a la vez y el servicio se hace muy, muy lento. El Sr. Toni Montoliu sale al patio y llama a todos los comensales tocando una campana. El menú es el mismo para todos, es muy copioso y la comida está muy buena, pero si tienes mala suerte como fue nuestro caso, te servirán de los últimos, el ritmo será lento y tardarás 3h en comer. Y eso que el menú es el mismo para todos. Sacaron esgarraet, all i pebre, humus de garrofón, bravas, ensalada y la paella, seguidas de café y coca de llanda. En total 30€/persona bebida aparte. Tuvieron el detalle de sacar pan para un celíaco y de servirle un plato de mojama con queso, para compensar el all i pebre que lleva harina para espesar la salsa. El Sr. Toni Montoliu es un hombre entrañable y simpático que durante la comida se pasa por las mesas sirviendo y dando conversación a los comensales. Además, el precio incluye hasta las 18:00 un paseo en carro que te lleva hasta una barraca que se puede visitar. El lugar cuenta con una zona visitable que alberga caballos, burros, gallinas y una cabra, lo que siempre es un plus para los niños. Como crítica constructiva si es que el propietario tiene a bien leer esta reseña, yo intentaría dar un servicio más rápido repartiendo a los comensales en diferentes franjas horarias dado que este es el motivo por el que NO volvería a este lugar. Estuvimos 3h para finalizar la experiencia con bastantes parones entre plato y plato, lo que llegó a agobiarnos bastante, viendo como a otras mesas les estaban sirviendo platos que a la nuestra no llegaban, como si de una boda se tratara.
