they tried to impress us and we asked if they had the muddles. they have! a steaming bowl with delicious giant whistles in a tomato, crust and chili broth. a side crispy garlic bread finished it. the personal was great. friendly and attentive. a delicious pistachio gelato has taken a really satisfying meal. What Noah Morelli doesn't like about Zanini's Pizzeria:
a simple meal ordered everything drowned in oil of taste of food lost in very strong oil. when the server said how it was told she was not happy reluctantly she said it will say chef. when paying, including a small bottle of champagne water $7.50...another server said how was it? we did not comment. we will give them the use of the doubt free cooking evening View all feedback.
This place was recommended to me by a friend's daughter who lives in Elwood and she raved about the gluten free pizza. So, naturally I raced there with my kids to investigate! She was not wrong, in fact, it is incredible!! I felt like I...More
Homestyle Italian food that is consistently good and well priced. Try the Sangiovese on tap... very good!
Having visited through at least three decors and countless meals, we've got a history at Zanini. And I've never had a bad meal here. The food is family friendly but never bland -- and the pizza among the best in Melbourne. Friendly staff, great attitudes, even if sometimes the service is not perfectly polished. The menu is simple, but all of the dishes (and I think I've tried most) are very well executed. This is a firm, family favourite -- and a definite 'go to' destination when you're in need for a simple, tasty pasta or pizza 'fix'.
We had no plans and made no reservations for dinner so we decided to walk down Ormond Road and see what caught our attention. A comfortable looking eatery with Italian Foods. We decided on various meals from Pizza, Pasta and Schnitzel. All of which were excellent and came out to the table promptly. Pricing was middle of the road.Service was excellent and very efficient.Great place to eat and sit around for a chat.
We found this place via the entertainment book and enjoyed everything we ordered. We chose the rocket salad, penne vodka gamberetti, gnocchi sorrentina, tiramisu and chocolate mousse, and all were delicious - we couldn't fault them. The selection of Italian beer is impressive - my partner tried the Moretti and really enjoyed it. My pinot noir was also very good. The waiting staff were all Italian and were on the whole very helpful. It is a family place and there were some rather loud children, but that didn't detract too much from our experience, and we'll definitely be back.
