We often take our grandkids to the restaurant here as they have face-painting / balloons and an indoor jumping castle which they love. Further, the meals are really good and the staff are fantastic. Recently renovated in all public areas it is a great spot. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Waterloo Cup Hotel:
To a large degree the gambling and sporting parts of the pub are well separated. I just wanted a weekday lunch and the bistro was quiet, well air conditioned on the hot summer's day and the sound to the TVs was turned off. I came because there were daily specials announced on the wall outside, but then learned that they were for evening meals only, but I could select a $15 lunchtime special meal or from the menu. Went to the Bar Area at the Hotel today for a counter meal and what a deal we got $12 for a Parma and Pot , not only was the parma delicious it cane with chips and salad and was large! Beer was ice cold and I can’t vouch for any other meal but easily a 4.5/5 for friendly service , cleanliness, GREAT value for money and taste . Plus the place was empty in bar so had it to ourselves . Would recommend for the Monday-Friday bar special $12 pot and Parma !!
Great lunch. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in the bistro, I had an open Souvalaki and my friend enjoyed a Parma. Service was swift and friendly, food generous and coffee afterwards was superb. A great spot to unwind anytime of the day and day of the week.
The bar man was super creepy...stalking my friend. we left promptly after we found him standing behind us for no reason at all. called it out. no shame..eww. first and last visit that's for sure. yuck. ps didn't have food so gave chef (assuming there's food) benefit of the doubt.
Best the Waterloo has been in years. Only the pokies are open the bottom shop and other bars always look vacant from Maribyrnong Road which is a shame as it makes it look like you want to drive past but if you want a cheeki little punt go in you will be surprised I know I was
Stopped food a while ago miss it. Basically a pokie venue in a nice building. Accessible.
