This is one of our regulars. We have been to Vietnam 3 times and when this place opened we were so happy. Only because there were some dishes we had tried in Vietnam and we couldn't find them back here in Melbourne. We found them at Viet Pearl. Very friendly service too. All round winner! What User doesn't like about Viet Pearl Restaurant:
This used to my favourite, then it shut down for a few weeks. After it reopened, we were told there was some disagreement among management and there is a new manager. They still have the same menu but a lot of items are no longer being served such as the Duck dishes. I was very disappointed so when I ordered Pho as a substitute, it was flavourless and worse than before. The chef must have also changed. The only good... View all feedback.
I have to say, this is the best pho I have ever had. I have tried over 15 dishes here and not a single one has disappointed. The service is fantastic, especially Kung, the owner, who caters to your every need. The prices are very affordable, almost too good to be true. This is definitely my favorite restaurant of all time.
I love Viet Pearl!! We come here 2-3 times a week for their $10 lunch special. Always consistently delicious and filling. Highly recommended!
The food at this restaurant is delicious, fresh, and authentic. The service is welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be returning! The wonton BBQ pork soup is a standout dish.
Generic Vietnamese place but it does stand out a little from the others on the same strip. With the more up to date decor, new furniture and clean interior I thought they’d have higher prices than the others but in fact it’s very good value. They didn’t charge more for the fine rice vermicelli (the square ones) which often carries a premium. The servings were generous and service was quick. Taste was as expected, the Vietnamese food was authentic. The laksa was good but not like laksa king good. Interestingly they have a vegan menu (for the locals) which has BBH... and I can’t seem to find a version for normal people! Definitely will return.<br/
My wife and I have been here a lot and have always been very happy with our service and food. The laksa is always a favourite especially on a chilly night.
