This is a lovely find just north of the CBD. As a non-coffee drinker, being presented with a menu (and I mean very long menu) of delicious teas was wonderful. The host is knowledgeable about everything tea-related. With the crackling of the warm fireplace in the background I spent a lovely few hours. View all feedback.
A chill wind pushed the rain into our faces and we almost didn't stop but the promise on the sign of an open fire and the coloured tumblers shimmering beyond the window beckoned to us. We were greeted warmly and the scent of spices and baking created a homely nostalgia as we found a table in the back room beside the fire. Beautiful Eastern decor and hints of a world gone by eased the tension of rushed afternoon and we settled and listened to the endless exotic tea options available for our taste buds.I had the Turkish apple tea and he had the Lemon grass, ginger, ginseng and lemon balm. Served with ceremony we drifted into a state beyond the immediacy of outside and all it demanded- yes we did and no alcohol was involved!!!!All this plus a slice of the pear, strawberry and white chocolate tart warm from the oven with fresh cream and strawberry coulis.Yes it is tea, but really the chance to make it special as it once was - to taste it in an environment where ceremony and attention to detail are paramount - of course it is worth the time!

The most perfect spot for a cup of tea while watching the streetscape and village life pass by slowly.
I found out about this tea house through a Google search and was most impressed by how charming this shop is. There is an extensive range of tea available, including black, green, white and oolong, and iced tea. We tried an oolong and a jasmine tea and it was served in the traditional way as we have enjoyed in tea houses in Asia. They also have freshly baked cakes available, which they make onsite. Prices are very reasonable and you can easily relax here for a few hours. There is indoor seating available as well as a lovely shaded courtyard to sit in. There is a range of tea ware to browse inside the shop, including genuine Yixing tea pots. The staff are so friendly, as was the owner, who we met. Such a great place to relax and enjoy, and will be back again soon as this will be among my favourites in Australia.
Wonderful staff who know their tea's and wonderful selection of teas from all over the world. with some great sweets. Always enjoy spending hours here
