We met the owner Giselle whilst we dined at her restaurant in Fitzroy early this month. A very quaint and authentic restaurant with beautiful Egyptian food. The portions were huge, as were the dips. I was especially taken with the tabbouleh - it was the best I have ever tasted. We ate well and were treated very well. A delightful experience. View all feedback.

A true Gem The Stuffed Pepper was the chosen venue to hold our Egypt Tour Reunion Dinner which has become a tradition since the trip in This restaurant has a great atmosphere, is nicely decored and is clean and welcoming from the moment...you walk in the door. It can cater for small or larger groups. Directly to the right of the entry door is a small area with stools and benches with magazines for customers to enjoy a quick coffee. At the rear of the restaurant is a courtyard with nice tables and umbrellas for those that wish to enjoy a coffee, a light snack or a meal outside. The menu, which is authentic Egyptian has great variety and has been put together by the owner using many of her family recipes passed down from her mother and father. The food was amazing, home cooked fare! We started with the trio of dips, followed by the stuffed vine leaves and then the falafel. We then tried a traditional soup served with rice and noodles which our host made specially for us. We enjoyed chatting with our host Giselle and talking about Egytian cuisine and her recipe book called Eat Like an Egyptian We each ordered different main courses and they were very generous in size, the meat just melting in the mouth it was so tender. Considering the amount of food we ate, the bill, including alcohol was very reasonable. Can't wait to go back and try something different!.
Our experience was fantastic. Giselle is a great hostess and treated us like family. The food was exceptional and the service top rated. The menu had a large choice that would satisfy even the fussiest person. Do not hesitate to go there for dinner. We...will be back very soon. It brought back our memories of our Egypt trip we had in
This is a great local restaurant serving up tasty and wholesome food. The calamari is the most tender we've had in years. We shared a meze platter which allowed us to taste a variety of dishes, from the broad bean falafels to the cabbage rolls...and calamari. The dips, hummus, baba ganoush and mint yoghurt were plentiful and tasty. The dishes were not laced in oils or tasting of sugar. The salad on the side was fresh and full of greens. The owner Gigi is very passionate about her food and restaurant and it shows. Me met her personally and she explained the dishes to us and helped us make a decision after we told her that we only eat vegetarian and fish. Her restaurant is spotless and the coffee at the end some of the best we've ever tasted! We would go there just for the coffee! A great meal and lovely hosts, Gigi and Stephen. Thank you.
