What Hannah Dörfelt likes about The Last Jar:
I came here on a Thursday night and tried to ordered a steak or calamari meal but they had been sold out. I ordered steak sandwich instead and they came up with a full dish of foods and chips. Everything tastes very nice and crispy. I was so happy with the order of the ‘leftover’ choice. The beef steak was well-cooked and the bread was tasty too. I love the spreading which, I guess, contains some cheese and mushrooms... View all feedback. What Karim Parisi doesn't like about The Last Jar:
This place has a nice atmosphere and a little beer garden upstairs. When we showed up there was a social group of Irish musicians playing which added to the atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was a big let down. Steak was tough and overlooked, salad drowning in dressing, pickled veggies were crunchy and bitter . . . read moreThis traditional Irish pub in Melbourne offers a mix of experiences, with some patrons enjoying the live music and authentic atmosphere, while others found it loud and uncomfortable. The food received mixed reviews, with some dishes like the Irish stew falling short of expectations, while others like the Irish chips and beef Guinness pie were praised. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, and the prices ranged around A$40-60 per person. Overall, the pub seems to be a hit or miss depending on personal preferences, but it is definitely worth a visit for a taste of Ireland in Melbourne.
