Thai 29 Restaurant - Melbourne

A small restaurant in an old cottage in York Street. Unfortunately the menu did not give any indication as to the hotness of the meals, so was unable to enjoy as much as hoped. Seems to be popular as a base for Uber eats.

Not in a very good location, down some dark seedy street and smelled musty when we walked in. It's a little old house made into a restaurant. My plate had some old dried up bit of rice on it and we left before ordering as the vibe was terrible and we weren't sure about cleanliness. Decided to go to Penang Road only a few streets down. Also it is way too overpriced for what it is.

Not a bad little restaurant. Interesting decor, and only seats about 20 people. The waitress got our order wrong, but that was quickly rectified. An enjoyable meal, but pretty basic. Reasonably priced food, for a quick meal.

This place is simply awesome. Great food and at reasonable price. Try pad kee mao or pad thia or green curry ????. Simply best food.

Absolutely lovely takeaway meal. Tasty and affordable. We had a massive order 2x green curries, red curry, satay, pad thai, Thai fried rice, steamed rice, spring rolls, chicken satays and prawn crackers. We didn't want to head out for dinner while visiting Melbourne and decided that we needed takeaway. Menulog provided easy ordering with great service. Thank you to Thai 29.
