What User doesn't like about Sud Food and Wine:
Just a short note to say we went here for the first time to be welcomed by the friendly and hospitable staff. Food was terrific wine was fabulous acoustics very loud and the restaurant reminded us of one we would find in NYC. My only and possibly most disappointing fact was I ordered the special cotoletta which was tender delicious and served with grilled zucchini only to discover to our surprise when we got the bill... Best lunch for yonks! Michaela ? Irish waitress kept up the fantastic service level that is SUD normal. Can only add to make up the 120 characters required that anyone who doesn't enjoy SUD is a bit strange.
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere on Monday night. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome and provided excellent service. The food was delicious and there was a great selection of wines to choose from, making for a fantastic evening. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great service from the moment we walked in. the menu is extensive and there is a vast selection of wines to choose from. We shared a few entrees from the specials board and then moved on to main course (steak and a delicious risotto). The ambience is smart casual. Comfortably spaced tables and low noise levels.
Wonderful classic Melbourne restaurant. It’s great to see the same staff year in year out providing personal service you just don’t get at many restaurants. Food is always delicious and amazing wine collection.
The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be returning soon.
