We stopped by for morning tea and had toasted fruit bread which was amazing. It had big chunks of fruit and was served with butter on the side and a little pot of home made raspberry sauce. Melbourne has a great reputation for coffee and the coffee at Soul Cafe did not disappoint. It was also lovely and hot - just how I like it. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Soul Cafe:
I recently stayed at Mercure Welcome for two nights and invited a friend to join me at the Soul for lunch. I used two welcome drink vouchers from the hotel and ordered lunch. We ended up chatting non-stop for almost two hours. Coffee was better than expected. We decided to move to the upper level which is linked to the bar of the hotel. Free coffee to go! Dined for breakfast as a part of three. The service is outstanding. Food also excellent. I didn’t have coffee so can’t comment of that. Great bacon and eggs. Streaky bacon, which I prefer and fluffy scrambled eggs. Would definitely come back
Great service at the counter, friendly and efficient, price good. Ordered 2 coffees pastries. Pastries arrived, yum. Eventually 1 coffee. Asked for the other coffee twice and eventually got the coffee, wrong order. Sent it back still waiting, coffee arrived 22 minutes after finishing pastries.
Had a take away from here and the food was very nice and a reasonable price, however the service was very slow. Only one person doing the food whilst three others stood around.
Enjoyed a very good breakfast and nice cup of ice latte this morning. The scrambled eggs was very well done and delicious garden salad with very good portions. The rest rooms were very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Was a great breakfast for my gf and I while we were visiting Melbourne. Loved the hollandaise sauce and service was quick! Thanks to the staff for looking after us! Will be back next time we visit for sure.
