Skinny Dog Bar & Restaurant - Melbourne

My boyfriend and I were in Kew this evening and decided to go to the Skinny Dog based on the reviews here. We were really looking forward to it as we were ravenous. But I was so disappointed when I tasted my meal (half Parma). The chicken was so dry just didn’t taste right. It wasn’t a fresh breast, it definitely came out of the freezer. The chips were also frozen. My boyfriend had the chicken burger said it was just ok. The plates were cleared while I was in the toilet my boyfriend tried to complain but the waitress just laughed at him walked away. Really bizarre behaviour from waiting staff. Could not recommend this place. The prices are pretty steep for what’s clearly tasteless frozen food.

Thank you so much to Leah and the team for helping to make the birthday celebration for my daughter a wonderful experience. The function room was a great size for our mainly family celebration. Leah and the team made everything so easy. We had finger food plenty of it and everyone commented on how delicious it all was the sausage rolls are really home made the pizzas and burgers were great and everything was served hot. The room was nicely heated on a cold night the bar service was great and we were updated about our tab throughout the night. Thank you for allowing the birthday cake and balloons it was so easy. Thank you for helping us to celebrate this very special occasion with a minimum of fuss and very little stress for me as the organiser!

It was Thursday Parma night. My Parma was great. There was an issue with my partner Kathrine's Parma. Management were so proactive. Rectified the issue immediately. We finished our meal which were of great taste and value. When it came to payment. It was taken care by management. Can't thank them enough in making the night a night to remember. Well done. Customer service going beyond the customer expectation. Thanks Vincent

We have been going to the Skinny Dog for several years but not in the past couple of years. We chose it for lunch on Boxing Day because it was conveniently located, open, and we have had good experiences in the past. The staff were great, checked our vax records, and were attentive throughout the visit. We had the fish of the day salmon filet, linguine carbonara, and duck breast with sausage, white bean purée, greens, and cherry tomatoes. Everything was delicious. The duck was perfectly medium rare. The sweetish Chinese sausage served with the duck was delicious, though not what you would normally expect with duck breast. The Heathvale Shiraz from Barossa was very good. Definitely worth a visit.

We here with work colleges. All 5 of us ordered steaks, My steak was cooked perfectly served with crispy hot chips and salad. Best steak I've had in ages, Not char grilled which I hate so this was fantastic. Staff were friendly and polite. Outdoor beer garden was great on a warm night. Will be back.
