Had had a quick meal after a show there before and liked the food. had friends over from Adelaide and they always like to try somewhere different so chose Seamstress for lunch. What Paul Matthews doesn't like about Seamstress:
First, the waiter got our order wrong (a medium instead of small). When this was pointed out and admitted to we thought the issue was resolved but when the bill arrived they still attempted to charge us for the wrong size. The food was generally lacklustre. My friend and I came here and were really impressed with the food. The wine list was so so with some average options for by the glass but the food was fab. All items come in small medium and large like clothes and once you choose they decide the best size and order and they do this very very well! Really amazing food with the sprouts and short rib as highlights for both of us!
Just love this place and its history. Its a hidden bar upstairs. The drinks were great and we had a couple of snacks as well that were just delicious. They have clothing hanging from the ceiling which makes it super interesting and a great vibe. We were on the top floor but there was a restaurant on the next level down but we didnt have a meal there.
Quite a complicated dinner menu with small and bigger dishes to share. Interesting flavor combinations although not too many vegetarian options. Standouts were the cauliflower and wanton dishes. Venue is a little noisy and dark.

The food at Seamstress was spectacular. The quality, taste and value for money was outstanding. The host of the night was so friendley and made the dinner even better. The decor was warm and very appropriate to the name. I loved the wine list too.
