Jo-Anne, you have always been incredibly helpful and accommodating every time my friends and family dine at your restaurant or when we order takeout, especially during these challenging pandemic times. I remember a few years ago when I hosted a dinner for my friends and you went above and beyond by arranging to bring a coffee machine because the one in the restaurant was not functioning. That level of service left a lasting impression on me, and I want to thank you now for your exceptional hospitality. Better tasting Laksa as Laksa King (yes), better chickens curry than my mother, THE BEST sharp chicken ribs throughout Melbourne. As a rule, take care of how this restaurant strip is always busy and Sambal Kampung is one of the top 3 busiest. I just have to say that I had more than my fair share of mixed orders, waiting for dishes when they sit on the bank, but the service has improved over time. But you will be absolutely LOVE the food.

Me, my partner and many of our friends often come to this great restaurant The food here is absolutely amazing I've tried a lot of things on the menu The price, the portion size and even the amount of meat or seafood you get in any dish is Amazing The staff are very friendly and It's always a pleasant experience when we dine in, take away is always just as good to I definitely recommend this restaurant to people it's even worth the drive if your coming from a bit far but if your live close then your just lucky

We recently ordered prawns with curry leaves and beef rendang and we liked it so much that we ordered it again 3 nights later. The best part was the amount of meat that was in both dishes. It was enough to feed my husband and I for 2 nights (note that we also ordered Tom Yum soup). On the first order we also bought their mixed entree option but it was too oily for us. Unsurprisingly, both curries were tastier on the following day.

We enjoy dining at this restaurant and each time we return, it never disappoints. The portion sizes of the meals are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Our favorite dish is the fish fillet with green mango. We also enjoy the salted fish and chicken in a shell.
