What User doesn't like about Riverside Kitchen & Events:
Pushed into ordering straight away by waiter/manager. Food was fine but terrible customer service made the food taste bitter. We needed to pay our bill before others on the table, was told NO, no splitting bills and told to go to petrol station two blocks away to get cash out.. just unfriendly and plain rude. We had been here in December and the food and service was ok, but we left very dissappointed today, when we decided to go for Easter Sunday lunch. It started with our waiter bringing the wrong jug of drink out, not realising this was the first of at least 5 mistakes! Our food took an hour to come, and only after 45 minutes did one of the waiters come and offer us some bread and garlic pizza. It was busy, but surely by 2.30pm most of the lunches had been ordered. Then to top it off, they brought out wrong plates to us, when we were still waiting on our meals. I agree with some other reviewer, they seem to look after their Italian customers very well. When the food finally arrived, it was below average. Don't think we will be coming back here.
A happening place here for family celebrations and great Italian hospitality or just a nice spot for a wine on a sunny afternoon. Wood oven pizza plenty of other Italian fare and a jumping castle on a Sunday for the kids and some music as well.
Went here for an afternoon coffee, but one look at their menu and we ordered a wood-fired pizza. The seafood was just so fresh and tender. Everything on it was fresh and tasty. Going back with a group very soon for dinner. The staff have a genuinely beautiful Italian accent and they are so very friendly.
This restaurant had more of a family feel. We were asked to sit elsewhere due to families also dining outdoor and not able to tolerate a few smokers at our table. Waitress was lovely and helpful and really nice about it. We took it well but it's either a smoking venue or not. Pizza was good but pricey..$20 for a pizza. Probably not the right atmosphere for a bunch of girls catching up, perhaps more geared to families with young children.
