Took the number 12 tram from Swanston and Collins Street to Stop 136 and just walked across the road. It is worth the trip from the city. For an entrée we shared a prawn pizza which was outstanding. All the meals served at the table were excellent. Service was very good, friendly yet unobtrusive. Would definitely go back next time we visit Melbourne. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ragazzi Restaurant:
This place has so much opportunity- the location and ambience is great but the restaurant is very unfriendly- clearly the owners work there but they almost go out of their way to ignore the patrons. The food is very well cooked but it focuses on volume as opposed to presentation- needs to focus on the clients - and by the way the wait for food was way too long View all feedback.
Authentic Italian restaurant. We went for a date night. Small cozy with a great atmosphere. Food is exceptional brilliant flavours, tastes like the best ever home cooked meal you could wish for. We sat and spoke with the owner (elderly gentlemen) who was delightful and had a lot of great stories. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Ragazzi. Entree: Feta cheese olive focaccia Main: pappardelle meatballs (WOW). Dessert: sticky date pudding Wine: Heathcote Estate Shiraz Dessert wine: Pedro Ximenez Only downside is the bathrooms could be cleaner. This restaurant is a hidden gem, a total fluke we found it on a Saturday night but we will definitely be going back.
Waitress no idea of customer service Frightened of people Hiding behind register Got order wrong Doesn’t know about wines Very expensive for what you get Minimal ambience Used to be so good
Classic authentic Italian after the Grand Prix, they were busy but super accomodating and the food was prompt and delicious. Good wine and even a lemoncello. Option to sit inside or outside and a delight to see the authentic pizza oven used so well.
Not up to expectations. Have been visiting this local favourite for over 20 years but will not be back after tonight's experience. Wine I ordered from menu not available. Bread did not arrive. They forgot my veal dish and when it arrived it was inedible $38). Offered a dessert on the house but declined. Lots of chatter in the kitchen, the chef not even wearing an apron and Effie not there. Very disappointed.
Have been a regular visitor to this family friendly restaurant for many years. Nothing flash from a decor fit out asoect but spotlessly clean and the meals are mega in size and even better value for money. The seafood risotto and spaghetti with prawns etc are simply magic even though i would advise to order without the chilli as it can over power the taste of the dish.Overall great service excellent value for money .There are numerous dishes available on the menu enough to satisfy anyones desire if you are looking for authentic Italian homestyle then Ragazzi is the place to go
