Piccolina Gelateria Collingwood

The quality of the food is undoubtedly good, but I was very surprised when I ordered a kids size portion and only received three bites worth in a cup for $5.90. I hope that this does not accurately reflect the artisanal craft of making gelato and the quality of ingredients used. Even my 2-year-old would have been disappointed with such a small serving. When comparing this tiny cup of gelato (priced at $5.90) to the offerings at our local Italian gelato shop (where a scoop is $6), the difference in portion size is significant - six times more generous. Service is limited to take-out only.

I had always wanted to try this restaurant, and finally did last night. The ice cream was delicious, but the waffle cone was too sweet for my taste. I would have been willing to give it another try, but unfortunately won't be returning due to the unfriendly attitude of the staff. The woman at the counter couldn't even manage a smile, let alone provide good customer service. If you're not happy at your job, maybe you should stay home. Now I understand why Fluffy Torpedo and Massina are always crowded! Overall, I would give the food a 4-star rating.

They don 't accept cash, which is illegal.. The girl working there answered things change when I told her that they cannot refuse a cash payment.. To the owners I want to say.. Do you rather pay commission to the bank on every single transaction, rather than teach your stuff how to give back some change??? Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Another PRICE INCREASE in a short time...getting greedy Piccolina; The icecream is ok but the recent price increase to $7.20 is not justified IMHO.
